I can’t think of a better environment for nurturing my passion for education and the arts: from the staff member who literally RAN down the hall with me to the registrar’s office on my first day on campus to see that I got in to the class I wanted, to the many faculty and student cohorts who have supported me in taking charge of my education so that I am able to tailor my personal educational path.

Returning to college after many years away has been a daunting challenge—especially with a young family to care for. But part of what keeps me focused is knowing that the family I’m raising is forever going to benefit from the choices I’ve made. I feel strongly that the benefits of this learning environment continue to spread throughout the surfaces of my life, as Antioch University’s central philosophy of social justice and change is also the best possible education I can hope to pass on to my children. … ”
