Antioch was founded in 1852 and led by educator, social reformer and abolitionist Horace Mann , Antioch embraced a policy abolishing race as a criteria for acceptance as early as 1863 and was the first college in America to educate women on equal terms with men!

Did you know? AULA is the first in the nation to have an LGBT Specialization within a graduate psychology program which provides comprehensive theoretical and practical preparation for students training to become licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.

AULA provides rigorous progressive education to prepare students for the complexities of today’s diverse societies. In addition to a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology program, AULA also offers Masters degrees in Creative Writing , Education and Organizational Management . Additionally, starting in Fall the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program will offer a brand new minor concentration in LGBT/Queer Studies .
