“… Given an ever-changing world rife with disparities in wealth, education, and basic human rights, Antioch’s approach allows students to ask the difficult questions and then engages them to find solutions together. It is a school which encourages self-discovery and independence, while at the same time instilling a sense of community, always balancing the needs of the individual with that of the group.

Having received degrees from Ivy League schools more traditional in their approach to education and having worked in the corporate sector for some time, I was looking for something more meaningful and fulfilling. I found it at Antioch. Its commitment to social justice, service to community, and life-long learning inspired me; it’s tradition of experiential and interactive education in the classroom challenged me. All in all, Antioch allowed me to fully integrate my experiences as attorney, child advocate and clinician, forced me to broaden my view of the human condition, and prepared me for a more thoughtful and empathic approach to clinical practice, paving the way for a much more meaningful future.

An Antioch education is much more than a degree; it’s a life-long experience of community, reflection, and learning. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a career in any of the helping fields.
