“One of the things that I like about the Child Studies Specialization is that we’re introduced to…different ways of working with children.”

“The graduate Psychology program’s Child Studies Specialization has a lot of core courses, including infant observation and child development, which really inform us as clinicians. I feel that these subjects are essential to being a competent and successful family therapist. Even if you’re working with an adult population, every patient you’re going to see was once a child. So in the Child Studies Specialization, we’re looking at how personality develops from the moment of birth.”
