“The 10-day residencies in the MFA program are a model for what you’ll experience for your whole life as a writer. You’ll go to different conferences, you’ll go to different writing workshops. This last summer I spent a week in New Mexico at Las Dos Brujas Writers' Workshop. The on-campus residencies prepared me so I knew exactly what to expect and how to make the most of it.”
