Our Mission and Vision
In keeping with the spirit of the Antioch University Mission and Vision statements, the Applied Community Psychology Specialization is committed to the integration of academic and experiential learning with an emphasis on working with local communities to provide leadership and service, and to create coalitions across groups for building common ground, social justice, support for a sustainable environment, and community partnerships.
The specialization is available to students in the MFT track who hope to supplement their clinical skills with tools and strategies for working in community-based settings and to students in the non-clinical MPIC who wish to focus their studies on community work. Many students in the Clinical MFT program find the skills they acquire in the specialization enhance their ability to work both within and outside of the therapy office.
