Your professional development is a major concern of the ACP Specialization. Core to the specialization’s philosophy is the commitment to ensuring that our students leave the program with marketable skills that will make them stand out against the competition they will find in the job market. The program works to ensure that each student leaves the specialization with real-world experiences in consultation, program development and evaluation, and psychoeducational and in-service training to complement their academic learning in ACP courses. While this approach serves our students well, there is additional preparation that students need to enter their newly chosen profession that cannot be delivered in the classroom. To this end, ACP has established the Professional Development Series.

The Professional Development Series provides students with tools and strategies for resume development, professional networking, professionalism, teaching opportunities with a Masters degree, and a variety of other professional issues. The Professional Development Series is offered twice each quarter, with both sessions focusing on the same theme.

The Series meets the 4th and 7th Wednesday of the quarter from 5:30 – 6:45pm.
