Child Studies Specialization |

This innovative MFT degree option prepares the student for MFT licensure and also includes additional 17 units of focused study to prepare students for careers involving work with children and adolescents. The specialization includes an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to children's issues and problems; clinical training with children and/or adolescents; a combination of theoretical rigor, eclectic clinical orientation, and a strong focus on cultural values, ethnicity, and children's rights and advocacy.
This 84-unit degree is completed in seven quarters of study or the equivalent in half-time quarters. The Child Studies classes meet on weekday evenings.
