Non-Clinical Master of Arts in Psychology
In the MA in Psychology Individualized Concentration (MAPIC) students explore their personal and professional interests within the field of psychology. The program is designed to meet the following objectives:
- Prepare students for doctoral studies or for specialized teaching, consulting, and writing in the student's area of interest
- Provide clinical degrees for individualized purposes outside the State of California offer a personalized, flexible course of study that encourages creativity and innovation in the area of psychology and society
In this concentration, the student works with a faculty advisor to design an individualized program within the field of psychology that reflects an area of interest and specialization. For example, students have recently designed degree programs in such areas as career counseling, death and dying, parenting education, creative arts therapies, and transpersonal psychology.
Students may also construct concentrations that combine psychology and management through AULA's Master of Arts in Organizational Management program. The MAP/IC is not designed to meet Marriage and Family Therapist licensure requirements in California.
