Within the graduate management program, all students complete the same eight core courses (4 units per class--32 units total) that provide foundational knowledge in the field of management and leadership and prepare students for advanced study in their chosen area of specialization.
Required Courses (32 units)
In the second half of their program, students participate in a Field Study Project. The Field Study spans three quarters. Student teams design, carry out, and report on a Project of their choice that serves an organization, community or target population. The Project must leave a legacy beyond the time of the students’ involvement. Work on the Field Study Project is initiated in the Summer Quarter with the Field Consultation Preview, a non-credit workshop that is required of all students who wish to enroll for the Project. The Field Study Project itself is completed during the Fall and Winter Quarters, and the final report and public presentation are completed during the Winter Quarter. You may also choose to focus on an area of specialization that is of particular interest to you and fits with your life goals. Currently, Antioch University offers students the option of specializing in Organizational Development, Management, Leadership, or Human Resource Management. You can also work with your advisor and the master's in management faculty to develop an individualized specialization in another area of personal and/or professional interest. You can explore the specializations within the graduate program along the left side of your screeen.
