Antioch University Los Angeles has been at the center of progressive education in Southern California for over forty years. With almost two hundred years of combined experience in private and public schools, our internationally-recognized faculty members bring their unmatched knowledge, passion, and commitment into every course. To this day, Antioch University upholds the principles of our first president, the father of American public education, Horace Mann, who spent his life advocating for every person to have equal access to a high quality education.

Our Teacher Credentialing programs offer unique, cutting-edge approaches to social justice education. The instructors are not only exceptionally experienced, but current practitioners, working on a daily basis in the field. Faculty members work closely with our students to provide personalized attention and an unequal preparation in the theory and practice of progressive education.
The Master of Arts in Education programs provide our students with selective knowledge and wide-ranging tools to take on leadership roles in many diverse settings. By limiting class size, our students are able to learn in small, discussion-driven classes focused on identifying problems and solutions to the most current challenges facing the education system. Antioch University’s teaching approach combines theory with hands-on training, providing students with a one-of-a-kind experience.
