CBEST and CSET

Unlike other teacher preparation programs, Antioch University Los Angeles will allow you to apply with evidence that you are registered for the CBEST. Applicants who have taken but not passed CBEST may be provisionally admitted which allows them to enroll in all program coursework while they are preparing for and retaking the examination. Provisionally admitted candidates who pass the CBEST in their first quarter (and who complete all other provisions of their acceptance) are fully admitted and continue in the program. Candidates are required to have passed the CBEST exam by the beginning of their second quarter. A minimum of two of the three CSET sub-tests must be passed before the third quarter field experience. The third sub-test must be passed before the final novice teaching experience, which occurs during the fourth and last quarter.
