The Fletcher Jones Scholarship

A partial tuition scholarship.

What it is:

You are eligible for a Fletcher Jones Scholarship if you are an entering full-time student in the MA in Nonprofit Management program. You can be considered for this scholarship if you meet the following requirements:

(a) you are a low income adult (demonstrated through the submission of financial aid data and verified by the Financial Aid Office)
(b) you provide evidence of outstanding academic performance in previous college work (normally a 3.00 GPA or higher in previous college work)
(c) you provide evidence of recent work or community service in a nonprofit organization
(d) you agree to participate in a service learning internship (or equivalent) in a nonprofit organization

How it works:

If you are awarded a Fletcher Jones Scholarship, the University will reduce your tuition each quarter that you are enrolled in the MA in Nonprofit Management program. The amount of the total award will determine how much reduced tuition you will receive in each quarter. Award of this scholarship is contingent upon your satisfactory academic progress.

How to Apply:

Step 1. Complete and submit an application to the MA in Nonprofit Management program. In your application documents be sure to provide:

(a) evidence of outstanding academic performance in previous college work (normally a 3.00 GPA or higher in previous college work. An official transcript from an accredited institution is required)
(b) evidence of recent work or community service in a nonprofit organization (include this information on your resume and discuss it in your Admissions Dialogue)

Step 2. Complete and submit an Antioch Financial Aid application so that the Director of Financial Aid can certify you as a qualifying low-income adult.

Step 3. Complete and submit an MA in Nonprofit Management Program Scholarship Application.

If you are awarded a Fletcher Jones scholarship you must participate in a service learning internship (or equivalent activity) in a nonprofit organization during the quarter(s) in which scholarship support is provided. This requirement can be fulfilled with the quarterly Field Work component of the MA in Nonprofit Management curriculum.

Application deadline:

For entry in Fall Quarter 2014, applicants must have completed all steps of the application process no later than September 14, 2014.
