Program Overview

With a career and perhaps a family, time is tight and you might have to be selective about the opportunities you pursue. Antioch University Los Angeles offers a flexible schedule to accommodate working adults.

Within the Master of Arts in Psychology program there are four distinct ways you can work the program into your busy lifestyle. Early afternoon, evening and weekend classes may work for some students, while others need to focus their studies around the weekend. More details on each of these options can be found below.

Weekday/Weeknight Flex Schedule

With our Flex Schedule Option, learners schedule classes on weekdays and weeknights as their availability and the class schedule permits. Students may attend on either a full time or half time basis. New classes begin each quarter and student may start when they are ready to begin.

For an example days and times, view the current quarter's class schedule.

One Day a Week

Our One-Day-A-Week Option is designed for those who want to concentrate their on-campus learning primarily onto one day each week. The One-Day-A-Week schedule usually offers both a Wednesday or a Saturday option for 10 weeks each quarter. Check with the Admissions Office to confirm what day of the week offerings is available during the starting quarter of your choice.

This compact one-day-a-week option is a full time program that can be completed in as little as 6 quarters.

Every Other Weekend

Our Weekend Option is designed for learners whose lives or distance from our campus makes it impractical to attend weekly classes. The Weekend option is available in Fall or Spring quarters only.

Highlights of this flexible program include:

  • Classes meet every other Saturday and Sunday for five weekends each quarter.
  • Fulfills educational requirements for California Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) licensure.
  • This full-time program can be completed in as little as six quarters.
  • Psychology and non-psychology majors welcomed.
  • Full range of financial aid and scholarship opportunities available.

Many of our students in this program come from areas outside the immediate surrounding communities. We have students from southern california areas such as Orange County and San Diego, and from as far away as San Jose and Las Vegas.

Santa Clarita

Antioch University's Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology is now being held in Santa Clarita. Classes will be held on Saturdays, and Spring Quarter begins in April.
