Library research tutors provide one-on-one tutoring in using online databases; creating search strategies (getting good keywords, identifying where to look for research); using and evaluating research; critical reading; and using research tools like RefWorks.
We have online LibGuides that identify which databases to use for each academic program and other research help. We are currently developing video tutorials on using databases, developing strategies for research, and using RefWorks. We also provide in-class instruction, which we tailor to the specific courses’ assignments and objectives. This service is also available for current students on Sakai forums.
In addition, we provide both one-on-one and in-class instruction on using Sakai, AULA Gmail, and Microsoft Office Suite.
