Roger Nolan, MA, LMFT, earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in South Pasadena. In his psychotherapy practice, Roger specializes in mindfulness-based therapeutic interventions. He has been a leading teacher of Mindfulness Meditation in the Los Angeles area since 2002, and in 2006, his classes were named “Best for Beginners” by Los Angeles Magazine. Roger has been trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Jon Kabat-Zinn (2000), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for depression (MBCT) with Zindel Segal (2007), and helped to develop Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) for addictive behaviors with Dr. Alan Marlatt. Roger currently leads MBCT and MBRP classes throughout the Los Angeles area, and is a member of the faculty of Insight L.A.
