Sherry Wong earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Global Studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). She also acquired a minor in Spanish at UCSB while making the Dean’s List. In addition to being fluent and literate in Spanish, Sherry is fluent in Cantonese. She possesses a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Antioch University Los Angeles.

Wong focuses her efforts on expanding the Applied Community Psychology’s (ACP) support of student professional development.  Sherry works closely with Dr. Sylvie Taylor to expand Professional Development Workshop offerings, to create a series of Professional Development Resource Guides, and to identify additional professional development materials for the ACP Resource Collection.  In addition, Sherry oversees ACP’s public mental health trainings (Essentials of DMH Paperwork) and the expansion of the series to include additional offerings.

She began her professional career in the financial industry, managing daily office and business operations. She possesses critical expertise in implementing strategic initiatives and has helped executives assess organizational capacity and develop credible guidelines and efficient processes through the use of proven conceptual and analytical problem solving abilities. Sherry’s most recent nonprofit work entailed recommending best practices in volunteer management and presenting the organization with an approach to deploying volunteers to their full potential in service to the program.
