Many students, fearful of plagiarism, will drop in direct quotes rather than risk paraphrasing or folding research into a paper in their own voice. This often results in awkward writing, poor transitions and the reader feeling as if the writer is hiding behind their quotes.
This workshop will demonstrate (with some
hands on work), how to paraphrase and transition effectively and include research while keeping the students voice intact.
