4th Annual Artistic Uprising

The AULA community is invited to submit works of expression for exhibition and/or auction at the 4th Annual Artistic Uprising, which will take place Friday, November 18th from 7-11p.m.  

The deadline for submitting your work is October 17th.  The online submission form is now available here.

*Please leave completed forms in Art Up’s box 198 in Campus Services.

Past examples include painting, sculpture, photography, dramatic reading, performance art, music, dance, writing, film and video, and crafts.

Proceeds from the sale of art and craft works benefit The Bridge Program, AULA’s humanities education program for low-income adults. (You may submit work for display only, or for auction with all or a portion of proceeds donated to The Bridge Program.)

Why Artists Donate to Bridge
The Bridge Program at Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA) has been doing something simply revolutionary: providing college classes to low-income adults in Los Angeles, at no cost to students. The Bridge Program was founded by AULA alumna Shari Foos with the assistance of B.A. Program faculty member David Tripp, who served as the founding director of the program. Bridge is funded by the generous support of individuals, foundations, volunteers, AULA, and the talented artists participating in the Artistic Uprising each year.

Antioch University artists have been donating to Bridge since 2008, when the Artistic Uprising was created (by the illustrious Cindy Short). Donations to Bridge are appreciated. If as an artist, you’d like to share a portion of the sale of your work with the Bridge Program, you can donate 0%-100% of your selling price. Thank you for your support.

$5: provides transportation for a student to get to and from class by bus
$25: provides school supplies for a student for the year
$60: provides textbooks for one student for a quarter
$555: provides one student with textbooks, school supplies, transportation, and instruction for one quarter
