Dreaming Personality Theory Forward - Social Dream Matrix

You are invited to participate in an ongoing community collaborative event to develop our regularly offered required course Personality Theory 1. As the gateway course to the recently launched Spiritual and Depth Psychology Specialization this is an opportune time to retool the class to more integratively address issues of diversity with a contemporary appreciation of race, culture, gender, class, sexual orientation, and spirituality, as well as with an eye toward contemporary research and evidence-based psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapy.

Fittingly we are convening as a community to dream the course forward through a process called Social Dreaming following up a lively and important beginning to this project last quarter. Drs. George Bermudez and Matt Silverstein will facilitate the Social Dreaming process, which involves exploring collective associations to dream imagery emerging from the group. We will further consider needed subsequent steps toward developing Personality Theory 1 that are directly responsive to the concerns and themes arising from this community creative work. All students and prospective students are welcome to join this afternoon whether enrolled in the SDP Specialization or not.
