Robert Aholt is the managing partner at Systems Consulting and Design, LLC, a boutique consulting firm that supports clients in IT and strategy areas. Prior to SCD, he was a founding partner at Systems Development, Inc., a consulting firm focused on management and information technology consulting. For over 10 years, as a principal of SDI, he helped shepherd its growth into a multi-million dollar organization.

Robert was the Chief Operating Officer and largest investor of Phase III Medical, Inc, a publicly traded company. After a successful merger with NeoStem, Inc., a company that is pioneering the collection, processing and storage of adult stem cells for one’s future personal healthcare needs, Robert stepped down as COO, though he remains a significant shareholder in the new entity.

He is also a member of the Pasadena Angels, a private investment group of leading individual investors. As a member of the Pasadena Angels he has invested in early stage companies providing long-term human and financial capital to help build the companies into successful entities. Typically, the focus is on technology and bio-tech/life sciences areas.

Robert has worked outside of North America for his clients and traveled extensively throughout Great Britain. His field of expertise and experience includes: distribution, finance, healthcare, human resources, information technology, investments, and operations.

Outside of work, Bob enjoys golf and outdoor activities and follows his alma mater’s football and baseball teams. He participates with his wife in their three children’s hobbies and extra curricular events such as little league softball and baseball, horseback riding, mountain fishing, music lessons, bowling, Scouts and ballet. Bob has also been elected to the school site council board that oversees and allocates funding for the local elementary school. Travel is also a big part of the Aholt lives as they like to spend time traveling abroad to Europe and the Far East.
