How can I find out if my company has a matching gifts programs?

Many companies do indeed match gifts made to AULA. To find out more about your company’s matching gift program, contact your human resources or benefits office.

How can I make a gift in memory of someone?

Many people choose to give to AULA in memory—or in honor—of a family member, classmate, faculty member, or friend. These gifts may be directed to a specific AULA program or fund, or their use may be left to the discretion of AULA. When making such a gift, be sure to indicate the name of the person being remembered or honored.

Our tax identification number is 31-0536640. AULA is a 501(c)(3) institution, and your gift is tax-deductible within the limitations of U.S. federal income tax laws.

What’s the difference between an endowment and a current use fund?

An endowment is a permanent fund whose principal remains intact and is invested. The income generated is either reinvested into the fund or is used to support programs or activities.  A current use fund is a fund from which dollars are used on an as-needed/annual basis without preserving a minimum dollar level.   Here is glossary of giving terms.
