Antioch University Los Angeles Announces First Annual Horace Mann Upstanders Book Awards
New literature award to recognize authors whose work exemplifies social change
CULVER CITY, CA – December 20, 2007– Antioch University Los Angeles
today announced the launch of their first annual Horace Mann Upstanders
Book Awards for K-6 fiction. An ‘upstander’ is a person who recognizes
injustice and acts in a way to right the wrong. The award honors new
children’s literature that best exemplifies the ideals of social action
and in turn encourages young readers to become agents of change
themselves.

Antioch University Moves to Dismiss Faculty Lawsuit
The Antioch University Central Administration, located in Yellow Springs, Ohio, filed motion for dismissal.
YELLOW SPRINGS, OH – March 14, 2008 – Attorneys for Antioch University
central administration have today filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit
filed by 17 members of the Antioch College faculty on Tuesday. Antioch
College, a undergraduate residential college, is a part of the Antioch
University system and the campus is located in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

Antioch University Los Angeles to Screen Award-winning documentary Gay Cops: Pride Behind the Badge
Public Lecture and Q&A with Filmmaker Charley Lang to follow screening

CITY, CA – February 4, 2008 – Antioch University Los Angeles, in
association with the LGBT Specialization, is pleased to announce the
free film screening of the 2003 documentary Gay Cops: Pride Behind the
Badge on Tuesday, February 19th at 5pm.. The screening will be
followed by a short lecture and Q&A by professor and award-winning
filmmaker Charley Lang.
