Clinical Conversation: The Black Woman’s Psyche presents a workshop on The Blame, Shame, and Fame of “The Angry Black Woman”

Building upon the discussion from the Black Woman’s Psyche Round Table, the African American Women’s Circle invites you to join a NO COST experiential workshop focused on helping Black women get in touch with their suppressed anger and emotions surrounding social injustice and oppression. This second roundtable will be not only interactive, but eye-opening for those in attendance who wish to better connect with clients of color, and for therapists who feel the burden of having to suppress their emotions due to fear of being labeled.

Tuesday Workshops: Make Sense of Pesky English Grammar Rules @ Antioch University Los Angeles, Library A1005 | Culver City | California | United States

English grammar often seems arbitrary and mean, burdening students with unnecessary anxiety over writing their papers “correctly.” This workshop proposes to help students fill in some of the gaps, but will also help students see the method behind English madness.
Together, we will strive to take the pain out of understanding the choices we make when
writing in English–for academic purposes or otherwise–using methods proven to hone the ear and ease the spirit.
