Antioch University Board of Trustees and the Antioch College Continuation Corporation Meet in Ohio
Both sides jointly affirm their commitment to the well-being of both Antioch College and Antioch University

YELLOW SPRINGS, OH - April 18, 2008 - Members of the Antioch University Board of Trustees and the Antioch College Continuation Corporation came together in Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, for an all-day facilitated dialogue. It began and concluded with a joint affirmation to pursue with all deliberate speed the best option for ensuring the well-being of both Antioch College and Antioch University.

It was felt that the day was successful in producing a very open and honest dialogue, and significant in affirming that both sides are committed to Antioch College and Antioch University.

“We have not yet reached a final agreement on how to proceed, but we are working extremely hard on a way forward” stated a spokesperson for Antioch College.  “There are remaining obstacles to be addressed and we will focus intently on overcoming those obstacles over the next 10 days.”

As both sides recognize the impact these continued discussions have on the lives of the community, it is the intention of both the Board and ACCC to deliver a definitive announcement to the greater Antioch community no later than April 26, 2008.

As with previous news, this development does not affect Antioch University Los Angeles or any of the other Antioch University non-residential campuses located in Yellow Springs, OH (McGregor); Keene, NH; Santa Barbara, CA; and Seattle, WA or its national PhD program in Leadership and Change – all of which are strong and growing.  Antioch University Los Angeles will continue to operate with no interruption.

Antioch University Los Angeles, located in Culver City, is committed to continuing to provide an innovative, reflective and experiential approach to educational excellence that is at the heart of the Antioch experience.
