President of Antioch University Los Angeles, Dr. Neal King, Appointed to Two New Boards
CULVER CITY, CA – October 2, 2007 – Antioch University Los Angeles today announced Dr. Neal King’s appointment to the Board of Trustees at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts as well as to the International Advisory Board of the Isherwood Foundation.
Antioch University Los Angeles (AULA) had previously entered into an articulation agreement with the American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA), which was founded over 120 years ago and trains actors for stage, film and television. The articulation agreement allows AADA students to transfer smoothly into Antioch University Los Angeles in order to complete their Bachelor of Arts degree.
Dr. King was unanimously appointed to Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for a one-year term that begins in November.
“With campuses in Los Angeles and New York, and a legendary reputation as one of the finest acting conservatories in the country, we are extremely grateful to Dr. King for making this commitment” stated James Warwick, President of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. “Additionally, we look forward to exploring our mutual resources for the benefit of all our students as part of our articulation agreement with Antioch University.”
Additionally, Dr. King was recently appointed to the International Advisory Board of the Christopher Isherwood Foundation. The Isherwood Foundation is a non-profit charitable foundation whose mission is to support the continued success of American letters by awarding grants to published authors.
Both appointments come at the beginning of a campus-wide week of celebration, honoring the inauguration of Dr. Neal King. Dr. King’s official investiture as President of Antioch University Los Angeles will take place on Friday, October 5th at Veteran’s Memorial Auditorium in Culver City.
