Antioch University Los Angeles mourns the death of a beloved BA adjunct faculty member, Lila Karp. Lila passed away after a battle with cancer.

Lila taught classes in women's studies and psychology at AULA for many years, offering a refreshingly clear and strong perspective that many admired. Lila was also an original feminist - as she carved the way with her colleagues for her younger students and followers. She was a writer, national speaker, therapist, and teacher. Her recently reprinted book, THE QUEEN IS IN THE GARBAGE tells the stories of the 1960s feminist movement like no other. Lila was also an active member of the VFA, Veterans Feminists of America.
